Interviews for 2009 (24-06-09)

Posted on June 24th, 2009 in Uncategorized by cain08

On the (24-06-09) I cain08 had my interviews and I was meant to arrive on 6:10 but I came a little late because I had to go to my brothers which was a little longer than planned. When I  got to the class straight away I had to get my cue cards out because we had to present what our strengths are and what we could do to get a little better I was a little bit nervous but when I got more into the talk I found it got much easier. When my teacher talked about my success and my bad bits I got a bit nervous because the majority of the thing where bad thing like trying to get out of class. But because of this report I have set two goals which i am going to follow and will keep with them.

The goals where that I will try my best for getting a high flyer and to get 2 a’s which will be hard but t will try my best.

Posted on June 23rd, 2009 in Uncategorized by cain08

Hi! its nice to get back to you.

The Henley football club is the club i play AFL (Australian Football League) for and we have only lost once that was against Port district the next time we play them we hope to beat them by more than 5 goals to show them who the better team is. Henley under 12 are currently second on the metro west under 12 ladder and the team that is coming first have won one more game then Henley but we have percentage that is 300 points higher than the top team. My team Had a record for 3 years that was we had not lost a game for 3 years but unforntagle this year we have lost one. Last year my team under 11 we won the grand final against Smosh west lakes the final score for that game was Henley (46) - Smosh west lakes (7) it was a good boost for the next year. last week we played Flinders park who are currently 7  on the ladder the final scores were Henley (105) - Flinders park (15) it was a great win.

Inquiry

Posted on June 4th, 2009 in Uncategorized by cain08

For the fortnight we have been working on our inquiry task (why is this happening) we have done loads of things. A few days ago we read an article about the Murray river and we had to highlight the words we thought were most important.Than we had to pick 10 or more of those highlighted words and look up those word ondictionary.com.Than put those words into a glossary when we finished the glossary we went on to a site which had a map of the Murray darling basin and we had to hand draw the map we also had to do the states and colour the main things and write down which colour was which. Today we got givena sheet that had boxers a few little and a few big than in the little boxers we write thing about the Murray like climate change and barrages and other thing about the Murray than in the bigger boxers we write sentences about the thing we write in the little boxers for example climate change-because of climate change the murray is running out of water. That sort of stuff.

Our Classes Injuiry Task

Posted on April 7th, 2009 in Uncategorized by cain08

For this task our class had to pick a quote from a piece of paper. Then write it on word and 6 to 7 sentences about the quote the person chose once we had written it on word and shown the teacher she told us to write it on our blogs.

The price of greatness is responsibility (Winston Churchill)

I chose this quote because is explains what you receive from being a leader. Being a leader is not a very easy task for anyone.

I think everyone at some point of their life would have been in the “leader” position. But not for very long. It is not a job for everyone. Some people just do not have the ability to do it but they can grow into it. A great leader needs to have responsibility a lot of it. A leader with responsibility does never leave someone behind whether it is when someone is getting heart or when someone is in a big mess a leader would all ways help that person when your around a leader its not him that takes over its there responsibility. They step up when things get tough for everyone. That’s the time when the decisions are needed to be made.

This is an example of the quote shown on the top of the page. This quote reminds me of the time when I saw someone on television on the TV show Bondi rescue. There was this young boy about 14 years old and there was this massive noise coming from a circle. It was all the people surrounding the boy with an injured back. But there was one person in that pack that was helping the boy the person that was helping the boy was about 16 years old this boy was showing responsibility. He told all the people to give the to give the boy some space there were about 10,000 people surrounding him when the rescue people came they said thanks for helping then took over.  So now you know that Being a leader isn’t just about being great it all so has something to do with the duty to take care of something
